I imagine myself on a ship at black sea.
It's clear skies and sailing free of peril.
Only with the Helm of Dharma do I direct this ship.
Only with the far reaching sails hanging from the tall
Cruci Mast may I manage the speed of my travels.
Always has the Beloved King's six pointed star in the sky Guided me
From disembarkation to permanent navigation.
Along with the luminous Star, the Crescent Moon is there,
To provide unending illumination and guidance,
So long as the clouds do not obscure.
The shine of all these symbols reflects off of the
Gold plates that name my ship;
The Beagle.

I really want to write something epic about ancient Rome and I guess ancient history altogether. It would have to be more than one book I guess. I want to write something from the perspective of a citizen, and I'm thinking teenager or something, of the Roman Empire. Then I want to write something from the perspective of an aged person living in Mecca or Medina around 600 ad but the fact of Muhammad will be a only a background but it will always be prevalent. Then I want to write something from the classical Chinese perspective but and tie that in with Buddha somehow, maybe Indian/Chinese perspective. Although I don't know much about either histories, not that I'm an expert on anything at all. The dark ages are really interesting too. I think what I want to write are realistic historical fiction novels from first person perspectives in those ancient periods. There's too much I want to do, and I'm not getting any of it done.
